About

Armando Sierra, locally known as "Armandito", is Cartagena’s most popular athlete, with over 18 years of experience in nautical sports, including surfing, kiteboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, and windsurfing. He was Cartagena’s pioneer in the sport of kiteboarding and coached several athletes who went on to compete internationally and/or started schools themselves. Armando is a sponsored athlete and brand ambassador for Dzone Clothing, one of Colombia’s top men’s activewear brands. His love for his sports and for people is unparalleled; as a compassionate philosopher with a heart bigger than the size of his kite tricks, he is also the co-founder and coach of Fundación Amigos Del Mar, a non-profit organization benefitting the children, animals, and elderly of Tierra Bomba, an underprivileged island off the coast of Cartagena.
